(متى اليقظة أمة العرب؟)
الحداد زاد حتى طال كل دار
تشتت تفكك الشعوب كله عار
مذابح هنا وهناك حتى ذي قار
فإلى متى يا أمة العرب الدمار؟
هل الأمان أخذه الغراب وطار؟
البلدان عاجزه حتى لأخذ قرار
وعند الخطوب الكل لاذ بالفرار
فمتى نرى اتحادا قد أتى بثمار؟
أين وحدة العرب لكبح الأشرار؟
أين وحدة الصف تصدع بالإنكار؟
تتآمر علينا الأمم والفجر بلا نهار
فصرنا كنبات عاجز ينتظر أمطار
وزادت الفرقة فزاد الشر بالأوكار
متى تستيقظ العروبة نحو النهار؟
الأعداء لا يريدون بيننا أي عمار
والكنانة يريدون لنيلها الإنحصار
تفرقت كلمتنا فكيف لنا الإنتصار
استيقظ يا أمة العرب فالقادم نار

(When will the Arab nation wake up?) The mourning increased until it extended to every home, the dispersion and disintegration of the peoples, all disgrace, massacres here and there, even Dhi Qar. So how long, O Arab nation, will the destruction be? Did the crow take the safety and fly away? Countries are unable to even take a decision, and when the engagement occurs, everyone flees. When will we see a union that has borne fruit? Where is the unity of the Arabs to curb the evil ones? Where is class unity shattered by denial? Nations conspire against us and dawn without day, so we have become like helpless plants waiting for rain, and division has increased, so evil has increased in the dens. When will Arabism wake up towards the day? The enemies do not want any Ammar among us, and the Kenana wants to be besieged. Our word has been divided, so how can we achieve victory?
